We Empower ACEs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to confront the effects of childhood adversity in children, women, families, and communities.
Our mission is to help and empower people to transform their lives by creating their own success stories through an array of trauma-informed programs.

Adverse Childhood Experiences have a tremendous impact on the future of those who’ve endured them. They cause toxic stress that leads to chronic diseases, mental health problems, learning disabilities, addictions, and other lifelong struggles.

The Ultimate Vision: The We Empower Centers
We Empower ACEs’ ultimate vision is to have women empowerment community centers all around the world. They would include a crisis center, trauma-informed healthcare services, a business center, a wellness center, a resource center, etc.

From plans to massive action.
The pictures on the right show the Duyan ni Maria Children’s Home in Angeles City, Philippines. Back in 2016, we were tasked with the challenge of not only building a home but meeting the needs of a group of children who had been through traumatic events.
In response, we created an integrative treatment model that was based on the scientific research behind ACEs. The new Children’s Home has been up and running since 2017, providing the following:
- Social Services
- A Residential Care Program
- Educational Services
- Socio-Cultural Activities
We didn’t do it alone, it took a COMMUNITY to help, donate, and support this initiative for it to become a reality. Because of it, now over 40 kids have the opportunity to thrive despite the adverse experiences they went through.
And the truth is we can’t wait to do it again.
We need your help to make this plan a reality once again, now about 8,000 miles from the Philippines Center, in Baja California, Mexico.
